I have been thinking and planning for a private room series for a while and finally I have had the opportunity to organize the event with the help of my photography buddy - Yee Loon.
We tried very hard to keep the theme away for the normal "lingerie" kind of shots. Personally I don't really think that private room should be associated with lingerie or overly sexy kind of poses.
其实我一直在想着如何拍摄一个比较有规划私房系列. 最后，我有机会与摄影伙伴- Yee Loon 的帮助举行了这次的拍摄活动。
我们很努力地保持着比较清新为主题而希望尽量减少所谓的“内衣私房”的拍摄种类。我个人并不认为私房拍摄就一定应与内衣或过于性感的姿势之类相关联.
The model for the day is Miyuki. She is very nice and polite young lady from Ipoh, Perak. She has been a freelance model and she had numerous runway experiences especially in the local bridal shows. Overall, we are very please with her performance and I know it's a tiring event.
The main reason to engage an experience model is to speed things up, as we don't have to spend great deal of time explaining the poses and ideas we want. An experience model can act upon our request and poses naturally.
Ooops..one other important reason for engaging Miyuki is that she is also a freelance MUA (Make-up Artist) and I am very please with her make up for the day. I am also glad to note that Miyuki likes the photos and the concept so much and I certainly wish to work with her again in the future, if situation permits.

这一天的模特是第一次与她合作的 Miyuki…..这位来自霹雳怡保的年轻女生给我的第一个印象是 Miyuki 她很漂亮，人也很有礼貌. Miyuki 她是一位业余模特, 有着多次的"秀台"的经验，特别是在当地的婚纱秀. 总的来说，我们非常满意她当天的表现..(我知道当天真的很累人的)
聘请有经验的模特最主要的原因是加快拍摄速度，因为我们不需要花解释多余的时间去讲解我们当天所要的拍摄姿势和想法. 作为一个经验模特可以根据我们的要求做好姿势同时也能保持姿态自然。哎呀..另外一个聘请Miyuki重要原因是，她也是一个有经验的业余MUA（化妆师），我也十分满意她当天的彩妆!
MIyuki 在她的 Facebook 粉丝页面中说: "感觉邀请我出席这摄影的摄影师,你们友善亲切的态度令我放松和享受整个过程,荣幸的见识到你们的专业水准,希望有再次的合作机会". 我很高兴发现到 Miyuki她自己也满喜欢这次的照片作品，我们当然也希望在今后的工作可以再次与她合作 (如果情况允许).

As recently I get hood to the bright and slightly over exposure kind of photos and feels, I decided to use a Canon Speedlite 580 EX II as my main source of light. I then put up a 60cm X 90cm soft-box to slightly modify the light right in front of the model. The simple single lighting setup is sufficient to lit up the room and produced a slight over-expose feels as I intended to.
Sometime, I use a giant round reflector to reflect some light back to the model to create a slightly less contrast images. For some photos when Miyuki was placed in front of a large window, I intentionally over expose the busy background to create a near pure white feel and used the main light source/ reflector to bright up the model.
最近我个人比较朝向照片曝光多一点的感觉，所以我决定用了一颗主灯 (佳能580 EX II 闪光灯)把主题与背景打个全亮….!!!! 为了改善光源…我拿出了一个60CM X 90 CM 见方的柔光箱来稍微修改了光源。简单的单灯光设置足以照亮了整个房间，也成功制造了轻微的过度曝光的感觉，因为我本来就打算这样做 (哈!)
有些时侯，我也会用一个大而圆的反光板来反射回一些现场光线到模特身上以减少对比度…..对于有些时侯 MIyuki 是站在一个大的窗口前面时，我故意拉暴杂乱的背景来建立一个纯白色的感觉…
